$8 Window Treatment!

29 Nov

…it’s quick, easy and budget friendly!

First, start with a piece of fabric that you love. I shopped the clearance section at Fabricland for this lattice-work linen piece.  The blue in the lattice-work matches the dark blue cabinets.

Hem the fabric on two sides. You can do this yourself or have the dry cleaners do it for you for a nominal fee.

Select a ribbon colour that will hold the fabric at the desired height.

Staple gun the fabric and ribbon to a scrap piece of wood cut to size.

Attach brackets to the wood piece then to the window frame.

Roll your fabric (or pleat it if you prefer). Then tie the ribbon at the desired height.

Lauren, that is absolutely beautiful!! I would love to do something similar in our kitchen … you have inspired me! How much fabric do you need for this project (for a window of a similar size)?
